Jennifer Lopez pencils in 'Plan B'

Jennifer Lopez has come aboard to star in the romantic comedy "Plan B" for CBS Films.

Kate Angelo penned the spec, which centers on a single woman who conceives twins through artificial insemination (her Plan B) only to meet the man of her dreams (her Plan A) on the very same day.

Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch are producing via their Escape Artists banner.

The producers are currently seeking a director as well as the male lead, with production scheduled to start in the spring.

"Plan B" is one of the first CBS Films projects to get a green light.

Black said that even with the pregnancy theme the movie had the potential to appeal across gender lines. "I'm really aiming to make a movie that's relatable to men and women. They can laugh super-hard and walk away being OK with their choices."

CBS Films topper Amy Baer noted that the material would take Lopez back to her core strength of the romantic comedy and also noted that the hyphenate giving birth to twins of her own would bring an added dimension to the role.

Lopez has starred in a number of comedy hits, including "Maid in Manhattan" and "Monster-in-Law." She had taken a break from her acting career to focus on her music career and on giving birth to her twins, which she did earlier this year, but is set to return to the big screen in the heist picture "The Governess" for Columbia, due out in December 2009.

The Conga Room at L.A. Live is thinking big

At the new Conga Room -- call it Version 2.0 -- the guiding philosophy seems to be the opposite of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s famous dictum that "less is more." At the revamped, relocated incarnation of the popular Wilshire Boulevard Latin music venue that went dark 2 1/2 years ago, the owners are hoping that more will be more.

"My kids are growing up. I just turned 47. So if not now, when?" said club founder and principal owner Brad Gluckstein, explaining what inspired him and a co-owners group that includes Jimmy Smits, Jennifer Lopez and Clippers guard Baron Davis to reopen a bigger, splashier Conga Room across from Staples Center in downtown L.A.

"This is a legacy project, not just for my family but for the city," said Gluckstein, a native Angeleno, real-estate developer and self-described "inherently Jewish" guy "with a corazón Latino" (Latino heart).

Jennifer Lopez's Bel-Air home for sale for $8.5 million

Actress-singer Jennifer Lopez has listed her French farmhouse estate in Bel-Air at $8.5 million. Speculation is that J-Lo and her husband, singer Marc Anthony, have relocated with their 9-month-old fraternal twins to the Long Island community of Brookville in New York. And she thought the 405 was bad?

The house that Lopez and Anthony just listed has four bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms in 7,357 square feet. The walled and gated villa sits on 3/4 of an acre and, according to the Multiple Listing Service, has a "European ambience."

There is a detached guest house, a pool and pool house, gardens and pathways around the property upon which to amble, though it's hard to imagine Lopez and Anthony as amblers.

Lopez is one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood; she was named by Forbes magazine as the richest person of Latin American descent in Hollywood. As a singer, she has sold more than 48 million albums worldwide. Her movie credits include "Bordertown" (2006), "Out of Sight" (1998) and " Selena" (1997).

Her personal life has been just as closely followed as her career. She was once engaged to actor Ben Affleck and spent years romantically linked to musician Sean "Diddy" Combs. When her twins were a month old, they were introduced to the world in a 12-page spread in People magazine, which allegedly paid up to $6 million for the exclusive baby photos.

Anthony, who married Lopez just four days after divorcing the previous Mrs. (former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres), has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, according to his website. The King of Salsa won Latin Grammys in 1999 and 2005 and enjoyed crossover success with his smash single, "I Need to Know."

Brett Lawyer of Sotheby's International Realty has the listing.

Jennifer Lopez: 'I'd Rather be at Home With my Babies'

Jennifer Lopez hates being away from her children.

The singer - who gave birth to twins Max and Emme earlier this year - is finding life as a working mom hard because she wants to spend every waking - and sleeping hour - with her babies.

She says, "I just wish I could be in two places at once.

"I would rather be at home constantly with my babies if I could be."

It was recently claimed that Lopez - who is married to fellow singer Marc Anthony - was planning to have more children.

A source said, "They were advised to wait six months after she gave birth. They listened to their doctor's advice, but now they're trying to make one more baby.

"Jennifer can't believe how much she loves motherhood. Of course, she always knew she wanted to be a mom one day, but she wasn't quite prepared for the overwhelming joy these children have given her or how it's really cemented her relationship with Marc. She would love a full house!"

The conference Jennifer spoke at was attended by over 14,000 women, including Arnold Schwarzenegger's wife, and California First Lady, Maria Shriver.

Jennifer Lopez reveals breakdown

Jennifer Lopez suffered a nervous breakdown after working too hard. The singer-and-actress, who has two children with husband Marc Anthony, was working on movie 'Enough' in 2002 when she "froze" and realised she had to slow down.

She told website The Daily Beast: "There was a time when I was very overworked and I was doing music and movies and so many things. I was suffering from a lack of sleep.

And I did have a kind of nervous breakdown. I froze up in my trailer. I was like, 'I don't want to move. I don't want to talk. I don't want to do anything.' It was on that movie 'Enough'. "I kept saying, 'I'm not weak. I'm not weak.' It's funny what tricks your mind plays on you. I just didn't want people to think I was falling apart."

Jennifer decided not to consult a therapist about the breakdown, but followed her doctor's instructions to take a break from her hectic schedule.

She added: "My bodyguard picked me up and put me in the car and they took me to a doctor. Right away they want to give you pills.

But I have never liked the idea of pills and kept saying no. My doctor said. 'You're sleep deprived. You're overworked. Go home and go to bed.' He told me to go back to work on Monday after a weekend of sleeping. So that's what I did. I've still never been to a shrink. I'm not a shrinky person."

Why Good Morning America follows softball questioning pattern

New York, June 23 (ANI): It seems that the producers of Good Morning America are desperate to land celebrity interviews, for they never ask any controversial questions to their guests. Sources claim that the producers promise celebrity guests that none of the controversies would be talked about during the show.

They corroborate their statement with the fact that Jennifer Lopez was not asked any question about her baby bump, and Dennis Quaid was not asked about the accidental overdosing of his twin babies.
Similarly, many other celebrities who have appeared on the show were never asked any questions on the controversies that had made big stories. “It looks like they are making deals. To land celebrity interviews, they are promising to ignore anything embarrassing or controversial, the New York Post quoted the source, as saying.

From movie set to music studio

Scarlett Johansson is the latest Hollywood star to swap the film set for the recording studio, with an album out in the UK on Monday. Can actors make a successful transition to the music world - or should they hang up their microphones for good? The first time most people heard Johansson stretch her vocal cords was in her Bafta-winning performance in Lost in Translation, singing karaoke to The Pretenders song Brass in Pocket. Her vocals led to a track on the album Unexpected Dreams: Songs from the Stars, which featured tunes performed by an array of film and TV actors.

So impressed were Warner Bros that they approached the 23-year-old to record her own album - and Anywhere I Lay My Head, a compilation of Tom Waits covers, is the result.
Even David Bowie has added his talents as a backing singer on two tracks. But actors appear to have a harder time making it in the music industry than singers who try to break into Hollywood. Will Smith, Barbra Streisand and Cher - who all started out as singers - have earned Oscar nominations or wins for their acting abilities.

"Her fans will probably buy it and the fact it was produced by [rock band] TV on the Radio means an indie crowd might be more interested - maybe just out of curiosity.
"I doubt it's going to be a blockbuster. It's not going to reach a mass audience - it covers pretty obscure songs and they would be foolish to think it would sell a million copies. "But between her fanbase and TV on the Radio's, I think it'll do pretty well." Q's Mr Grundy agrees. "It's not going to be a pop smash - it's an album of Tom Waits covers," he says. "But it's the kind of thing that might appeal to people who liked the Lost In Translation soundtrack rather than, say, Johansson's work in The Other Boleyn Girl.

There are a few exceptions to the actor-turned-musician rule, though. Jennifer Lopez has had worldwide success as a pop star, while Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus have also had platinum-selling debut albums in the US. And then there are the few actors who have become one hit wonders - like Nicole Kidman, whose duet with Robbie Williams on Somethin' Stupid went to number one in 2001. So what is the secret of their success? "Jennifer Lopez makes pop music and the fact she's a worldwide star making music that's very accessible is a winning combination," Mr Cohen says. "People like Bruce Willis and Russell Crowe I think are doing it for fun and would really doubt they are interested in becoming worldwide superstars on the basis of their music, beyond the fame they already have." One problem for actors being successful musicians is being able to juggle the two.

Sniff Test: Deseo Jennifer Lopez

A diamond in the rough bottle in a textured linen-look carton, Deseo Jennifer Lopez ($59 for 50ml eau de parfum at department and drug stores across Canada) means ‘I desire.’ What Ms.Lopez desired in this latest addition to her blockbuster fragrances is a floral woody perfume with notes of Sicilian bergamot, freesia, jasmine, orange blossom, mimosa, amber, sandalwood, musk and patchouli. It’s said to be inspired “by the smell and feel of the air during a midnight walk in Jennifer’s flower garden.”

He Says:

Wow. This is surprisingly sophisticated. It opens on a grapefruit note but quickly dries down to a soft green feel courtesy of watery bamboo notes. There are the expected floral notes of mimosa, orange blossom and geranium flower. Yet these are offset by what I’d describe as warm sand notes. This scent reflects a more matureJennifer Lopez. 3 / 4 noses

She Says:

Another faceted flacon, another difficult to remove cap (remember Fabulosity?). But happily, not another stinker. Deseo smells...expensive. And high-maintenance (not unlike its creator). There’s a sharpness to the opening citrus note and the loudness of a French market stall’s worth of flowers (both kindof reminiscent of J.Lo’s hotel room rider: “at least 10 difference fresh white flowers in every room, or else!”). It calms down and melts into a creamy floral, eventually. Rich and confident, but I’ve smelled this sort of composition before.

Jennifer Lopez' #1 Fan

It seems that Jennifer Lopez already has a viewer of her new reality show on TLC. Good friend and celeb-stylist, Phillip Bloch can’t wait. “I would watch anything she does,” Phillip told OK! at the Night of a Thousand Lights event benefiting St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. “I love her.” And maybe we can look forward to seeing this fashionable guy on the boob tube too. “If I am invited, I’d love to make an appearance,” the host of the evening remarked.

It isn’t too far-fetched! Jennifer and Phillip have quite a history together. “I’ve worked with her through the years and in this business, you work with different people and your careers change, but she is someone whenever I see her, we instantly connect,” he explains.
“We know each other from movie premieres and her first wedding and all that kind of stuff.” Here's to hoping we can see this dynamic duo on TV together!

Has Jennifer Lopez had A Mommy Plastic Surgery Makeover?

Since her days as a Fly Girl, Make Me Heal has reported on the many changes Jennifer Lopez has made to her appearance in order to enhance her career. Now that she is also a mother, Make Me Heal wonders if Jenny from the Block has gotten a mommy plastic surgery makeover to keep her look.

In the past, Make Me Heal has reported on J. Lo’s plastic surgery, including a nose job to make her nose narrower. She is also reported to have had cheek plants and a lip reduction. Not to mention her signature false eyelashes, which have even reportedly been made of mink for red carpet appearances, drawing the ire of PETA. Jennifer has also been suspected to have had a breast augmentation to help balance out her famously curvaceous body (read the full story on Jennifer Lopez’s Breast Augmentation). Now that the beautiful singer/dancer/actress turned entrepreneur has given birth to twins, Make Me Heal is speculating on whether or not she has also turned to plastic surgery to get rid of the tired appearance that being a new mother brings on.

Jennifer is certainly not adverse to plastic surgery, having said, “If people want to get enhancements here and there and little shots or whatever… I don’t do it, but I don’t want to judge because I don’t know how I’ll feel when I’m 40 or 50 and if that is something I would do. I know that getting older is tough; I don’t want to judge because I’m not there yet.” Although the 38-year old is a couple years short of 40, Make Me Heal thinks that the time for the surgeon’s knife may have already come for the new mother as recent pictures show her body looking tighter and her face more refreshed than ever, even as middle age draws near.

When Jennifer stepped out for a recent date night with husband, singer Marc Anthony, she had nary a wrinkle in sight, making Make Me Heal wonder if the singer has been using Botox or another injectable filler like Restylane, to smooth out any forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet that have begun to crop up. Jennifer may also have had laser skin treatments like Fraxel, Pixel, or Active Fx, to maintain her youthful glow and smooth complexion and keep her skin looking tight.

J.Lo’s body has also regained its pre-pregnancy shape and one wonders whether this is the result of hard-earned work at the gym or whether J. Lo cheated a little and underwent one of those low-downtime lunchtime liposuction treatments like SmartLipo, or possibly mesotherapy-style fat-loss injections.

Jennifer Lopez is constantly reinventing her career and her body has to keep up with each of her new endeavors, even childbirth. So we would not put it past the enterprising J. Lo to have undergone a mommy makeover to be able to spring back into her career.

Jennifer Lopez's $50k gym

Jennifer Lopez has splashed out $50,000 on a home gym to help her lose her baby weight.

The 'Do It Well' singer - who gave birth to twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony on February 22 - gained almost 50lbs during her pregnancy and has been working out as much as possible to get her figure back.

A source told Britain's Star magazine: "To motivate her, she's splurged out on a $50,000 home gym for her New York mansion. She's also consulted trainers, nutritionists and doctors, looking for the safest way to drop the weight in record time."

Jennifer, 38, is also planning to start using food delivery programme Fresh Mommy, an all-natural food company which provides expectant or new mothers with healthy meals.

People magazine editor Peter Castro - who interviewed the star and published world exclusive photos of the twins - recently claimed Jennifer was in no rush to lose her baby weight and was more concerned with enjoying motherhood.

He said: "The twins were almost 6lbs each when they were born. And right now, yes, Jennifer has lost a lot of the weight, but she is in no rush to lose all of it. She is enjoying motherhood and that is what she is concentrating on."

Jennifer Lopez's labour work

Jennifer Lopez was decorating her babies' nursery just two hours before she gave birth. The Latino star - who had twins Max and Emme by Caesarean section last month - wouldn't rush off when she went into labour because she wanted everything to be perfect.

Jennifer's husband Marc Anthony said: "An hour before we go to the hospital, she's decorating the bedroom downstairs, making sure the carpet is in, rearranging the furniture. I said, 'Honey, you're going to give birth in two hours.' And she's like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, but that chair in the corner?' I said, 'Baby, we have to go.' "

Jennifer Lopez pampers babies with massages, blinged-out rattles, Shetland ponies

By Vicki Hyman/Star-Ledger Staff : Love don't cost a thing, but child-rearing does, and you can bet Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony didn't pick up their diamond-engraved rattles and 600-thread-count Egyptian crib sheets at Buy Buy Baby.

London's Daily Mirror reports that new mom Lopez is going overboard to give her twins what little Jenny from the Block didn't have -- and that apparently includes a baby masseuse, a color therapist and a pair of Shetland ponies, even though the 2-week-old babies aren't yet old enough to support the weight of their own heads.

(Britain's Now magazine also reports she's hired six security guards to keep watch over the babies.)

"Jennifer has gone all out to give the twins an amazing childhood," a source tell the tabloid. "She had the nursery painted a beautiful aquamarine and light blue -- colors which are supposed to have intelligence-boosting properties."

The twins, Max and Emme, have their own wing, where classical music is piped in to help relax them, and with flowers and presents stored in a separate room so they don't contaminate the babies' area.

Jennifer Lopez spends $600k on bodyguards for her babies

New mom Jennifer Lopez is so worried that her baby twins might be kidnapped — she is shelling out a whopping $600,000 hiring a team bodyguards to watch over them 24/7. According to sources close to the Latino singer, Lopez — with the full support of husband Marc Anthony — beefed up her home security by hiring SIX bodyguards — at annual cost of $600k — two for each eight-hour shift around the clock.

Lopez has also reportedly installed closed-circuit cameras in every room in hers and Anthony’s various homes. “She’s paranoid about a possible kidnapping,” the source said. Chicago Sun Times columnist Bill Zwecker writes: “Lopez also increasingly has become quite the ‘germaphobe.’

“Dispensers containing a hygienic cleanser have been placed at the entrance to the babies’ nursery and elsewhere around the house. “People coming close to the children have been instructed to use those lotions every time they enter the kids’ rooms.” Lopez, 38, has also been bulking buying surgical masks — to be worn by those coming in contact with the newborns.

Jennifer Lopez's $6m Baby Photo Deal

JENNIFER Lopez is set to sign a record Û6million deal for her first baby pictures, it was claimed yesterday. The superstar singer and actress is expected to give birth to twins any day now, her first children with husband Marc Anthony.

And industry insiders claim J-Lo is on the verge of signing the deal with People magazine. It could be worth up to £3.1million, which would set an industry record. It would also be more than her flopmovie Gigli made at the box office.

The previous record is believed to belong to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who got a rumoured Û4.1million - £2.1million - for shots of baby Shiloh. US magazine Ad Age quoted "people familiar with the negotiations" in reporting the deal.

They said People "is poised to pay Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony between Û4million and Û6million for exclusive US rights to the first photos of their expected twins". It would take the baby pictures trend to a new extreme.

Singer Christina Aguilera recently posed with her new baby son and there are a host of celebrity babies due to spark bidding wars. Pregnant stars include Halle Berry, Jessica Alba and Nicole Kidman - not to mention Angelina Jolie, said to be expecting twins.

Ad Age's Nat Ives cited a famous claim that party girl Paris Hilton had made Vanity Fair's cover because she represented "newsstand crack".

Pregnant Lopez prefers fashion over comfort

The singer-turned-actress - who is nine months pregnant with Marc Anthony's twins - is determined to stay fashionable, and has not given into the temptation to wear unflattering but comfortable clothes before she gives birth. She said: "People make fun of me because when I have them over to my house I usually have a dress on. I don't like the way the sweatpants look with the extra weight.

I like to feel good about myself even at home." Jennifer, 38, also said she is finding it difficult to abide by doctors' advice to rest, because she prefers keeping busy. Speaking at the Marchesa fashion show at New York Fashion Week, she added to People magazine: "Right now the best thing I can do for myself, for my body, is to keep resting which is not easy for me. "I like keeping busy and it is very hard because if they say, 'Be off your feet for four hours a day!' I'm like, 'Oh my God!' It's just so hard!"
