Jennifer Lopez spends $600k on bodyguards for her babies

New mom Jennifer Lopez is so worried that her baby twins might be kidnapped — she is shelling out a whopping $600,000 hiring a team bodyguards to watch over them 24/7. According to sources close to the Latino singer, Lopez — with the full support of husband Marc Anthony — beefed up her home security by hiring SIX bodyguards — at annual cost of $600k — two for each eight-hour shift around the clock.

Lopez has also reportedly installed closed-circuit cameras in every room in hers and Anthony’s various homes. “She’s paranoid about a possible kidnapping,” the source said. Chicago Sun Times columnist Bill Zwecker writes: “Lopez also increasingly has become quite the ‘germaphobe.’

“Dispensers containing a hygienic cleanser have been placed at the entrance to the babies’ nursery and elsewhere around the house. “People coming close to the children have been instructed to use those lotions every time they enter the kids’ rooms.” Lopez, 38, has also been bulking buying surgical masks — to be worn by those coming in contact with the newborns.

Jennifer Lopez's $6m Baby Photo Deal

JENNIFER Lopez is set to sign a record Û6million deal for her first baby pictures, it was claimed yesterday. The superstar singer and actress is expected to give birth to twins any day now, her first children with husband Marc Anthony.

And industry insiders claim J-Lo is on the verge of signing the deal with People magazine. It could be worth up to £3.1million, which would set an industry record. It would also be more than her flopmovie Gigli made at the box office.

The previous record is believed to belong to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who got a rumoured Û4.1million - £2.1million - for shots of baby Shiloh. US magazine Ad Age quoted "people familiar with the negotiations" in reporting the deal.

They said People "is poised to pay Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony between Û4million and Û6million for exclusive US rights to the first photos of their expected twins". It would take the baby pictures trend to a new extreme.

Singer Christina Aguilera recently posed with her new baby son and there are a host of celebrity babies due to spark bidding wars. Pregnant stars include Halle Berry, Jessica Alba and Nicole Kidman - not to mention Angelina Jolie, said to be expecting twins.

Ad Age's Nat Ives cited a famous claim that party girl Paris Hilton had made Vanity Fair's cover because she represented "newsstand crack".

Pregnant Lopez prefers fashion over comfort

The singer-turned-actress - who is nine months pregnant with Marc Anthony's twins - is determined to stay fashionable, and has not given into the temptation to wear unflattering but comfortable clothes before she gives birth. She said: "People make fun of me because when I have them over to my house I usually have a dress on. I don't like the way the sweatpants look with the extra weight.

I like to feel good about myself even at home." Jennifer, 38, also said she is finding it difficult to abide by doctors' advice to rest, because she prefers keeping busy. Speaking at the Marchesa fashion show at New York Fashion Week, she added to People magazine: "Right now the best thing I can do for myself, for my body, is to keep resting which is not easy for me. "I like keeping busy and it is very hard because if they say, 'Be off your feet for four hours a day!' I'm like, 'Oh my God!' It's just so hard!"
