Jennifer Lopez's love 'challenge'

Jennifer Lopez says she has been in a "few challenging" relationships.

The 39-year-old star - who has previously dated P. Diddy and Ben Affleck - admits she lost touch with herself during past romantic dalliances.

Speaking at The Women's Conference in Long Beach, California, yesterday, Jennifer said: "I have been in a few challenging relationships. I have been in relationships that can make you doubt who you are and what you are capable of, and doubt what you deserve. It took me a bit little longer to get it right."

However, Jennifer - who has eight-month-old twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony - also said raising children has enabled her to explore a different side of herself.

She added: "Becoming a mother can make you more aware and more loving, and make you aware there's nothing they don't deserve. Your eyes open. Your heart opens."

The conference Jennifer spoke at was attended by over 14,000 women, including Arnold Schwarzenegger's wife, and California First Lady, Maria Shriver.

According to People.com, the couple held their new nuptials at Caesars Palace's Forum Tower Penthouse at 3:15 a.m. Sunday, with two pals acting as witnesses.

A source tells the Web site: "It was totally a spur of the moment thing. They decided around 12:30 in the morning that they wanted to do it and started calling for ministers."

The couple welcomed their first children together, twins Max and Emme, in February.

Lopez and Anthony reportedly exchanged vows alongside baseball star Carlos Beltran and his wife, Jessica, in a surprise renewal.

A source tells People.com, "Carlos gave his wife a specially engraved ring and gave Marc and Jennifer special rings as gifts.

"Carlos and Jessica renewed their vows first, then Jennifer and Marc went."

Jennifer Lopez reveals breakdown

Jennifer Lopez suffered a nervous breakdown after working too hard. The singer-and-actress, who has two children with husband Marc Anthony, was working on movie 'Enough' in 2002 when she "froze" and realised she had to slow down.

She told website The Daily Beast: "There was a time when I was very overworked and I was doing music and movies and so many things. I was suffering from a lack of sleep.

And I did have a kind of nervous breakdown. I froze up in my trailer. I was like, 'I don't want to move. I don't want to talk. I don't want to do anything.' It was on that movie 'Enough'. "I kept saying, 'I'm not weak. I'm not weak.' It's funny what tricks your mind plays on you. I just didn't want people to think I was falling apart."

Jennifer decided not to consult a therapist about the breakdown, but followed her doctor's instructions to take a break from her hectic schedule.

She added: "My bodyguard picked me up and put me in the car and they took me to a doctor. Right away they want to give you pills.

But I have never liked the idea of pills and kept saying no. My doctor said. 'You're sleep deprived. You're overworked. Go home and go to bed.' He told me to go back to work on Monday after a weekend of sleeping. So that's what I did. I've still never been to a shrink. I'm not a shrinky person."
